Evaluation of the “Development Cooperation Scout Programme”

Under this programme development cooperation scouts advise German Chambers of Commerce & Industry and Industry Associations on programmes funded by the German Government for the promotion of private investments in the Global South.

Responsibilities as leader of the evaluation team included:

• Analyses of programme documents and secondary literature
• Reconstruction of a theory of change model
• Development of an evaluation matrix
• Questionnaire design
• Interviews and statistical evaluation of primary data
• Drafting of evaluation report
• Management of evaluation team (4 members)
• Reporting to the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in Bonn and Berlin
• Recommendations on the future introduction of a result-oriented monitoring system
